Hot spot for cyclists refuelling!

Always a heart-in-mouth traverse for me, on the rare occasion I need to use it. There's a "cycle track" of sorts hewn out, which is fine if you stay slow and stick to it, but I just don't trust this track.

Opened in 1894, Central Park is an area of outdoor space designed for all to enjoy in the centre of Chelmsford. Backing onto the River Can, it has areas of grass for relaxing as well as formal planting. There's also a playground and cafe.

Smooth fast gravel surface Byway, mostly flat straight lines with some technical bits thrown in. Recommended in dry conditions/maybe passable in the wet, too - with the right tyres/bike. 🚲 🚵

Been here quite often, not the best, not the worst, just quite overgrown, but still a nice spot put together by some people!
