Gravel biking around Deerlijk offers a network of routes through the Flemish countryside. The region features a mix of agricultural lands, quiet country roads, and sections of unpaved paths. While generally characterized by gentle undulations, some routes include more significant climbs, such as those found near the Kluisberg hill, which rises to 141 meters. This varied terrain provides diverse conditions for gravel cyclists, incorporating a blend of paved sections, gravel and dirt roads, and sometimes challenging ascents.

The castle and its outbuildings will soon be taken over by companies specializing in the renovation of historical monuments. Les Amis du Château d'En Haut (non-profit organization) specializes in estate rentals, and the proceeds are redistributed to restoration projects (Pineal Project: workshops, ceremonies, product presentations, exhibitions, performances, etc.). This is stated at: www.chateaudebossuit.com When I passed by, the gate on Kasteeldreef was simply open. There was nothing to indicate that the estate was inaccessible. For example, in the garden to the left of the castle, there seemed to be the remains of a pop-up bar or some kind of public event. When I left the estate on the Doorniksesteenweg side, the automatic gate gently opened for me. When I turned around, I saw a sign saying "Private / No Access."

The Kooigembospad winds from Kooigem to the Trimaarzate (the Green Axis that runs from Avelgem to Spiere on the bed of the former Kortrijk-Ronse railway line). As the name suggests, the path leads to the slightly higher Kooigembos, but narrowly misses it. The forest itself is not open to the public.

The Molen Ter Klare, also known as Molen Ter Claere, is a historic windmill in Sint-Denijs, a sub-municipality of Zwevegem in West Flanders. It is a stone ground-sailer that originally dates from before 1415. The current mill was rebuilt in 1923 after an earlier version was destroyed during the First World War. The mill is located at the highest point in the region, at 76 metres, and offers beautiful views. The mill has been protected as a monument since 1944 and is used for grinding grain. It is equipped with three grinding pairs and a grain cleaner. Although the mill has suffered damage in the past, including a fire in 1950, it has been restored and remains an important heritage piece2.
