🌿 The Grafensteiner See nature reserve (identification ST-080) is a protected area of approximately 25 hectares located between Steinfurt-Borghorst and Burgsteinfurt. It is a prime example of how an industrial use (sand extraction) can be transformed into a valuable habitat for endangered species.

The Hermann Leerkamp Bridge crosses the Vechta River to Schüttorf. It blends so beautifully into the natural surroundings that it's barely noticeable.

The bridge to the Bagno is finally complete. As a precaution, the construction was chosen so that motor vehicles can no longer drive over it. Presumably, an agricultural vehicle too heavy drove over the old bridge, causing it to collapse under the weight.
