Anyone traveling along the Havel Cycle Path will experience an incredibly beautiful stretch from here to Wesenberg. A narrow, paved path winds through the rolling landscape, passing through open spaces, forests, and lakes, always in solitude. A ride to dream about!

It's very difficult for paddlers to portage here. There's no trolley. We portaged the boat and placed it in the overflow channel below the weir. However, it was very difficult to reach and arduous.

The Stechlinsee Loop is currently closed due to a bridge closure near the former Rheinsberg power plant. Therefore, you must choose a suitable path, hiking counterclockwise, either along the water or through the forest above the lake.

Paddlers are allowed to pass the motorboats and park at the lock entrance. The lock operator will then signal when they are permitted to enter.

Untouched nature and virtually no car traffic.

Gasthaus zum Löwen at the Strasen lock. Top-notch food, good beer, and accessible from the water.

Covered rest area with information boards in the meadows near Drosedow. Right next door is the wooden footbridge over the moorland and the bridge over the Drosedower Bek stream.
