The Catholic Youth Center is also a popular rest stop for hikers. It's self-service, but the prices are reasonable. There are also several rooms available for rent for events.

The large information panel in front of the castle marks the start of the historical trail. The first image is a reconstruction of the castle as it was built in 1482. A moat with a drawbridge and a surrounding wall (still standing today) with corner towers enclosed the inner courtyard with its buildings and a residential tower.

The former hunting lodge and monastery is a must in this corner of the Schönbuch - whether for hikers or bikers. A visit can be easily integrated into the tour to the game reserve and Hohenentringen Castle or on the way to Tübingen. The Restaurant / Landhotel Hirsch is highly recommended in Bebenhausen - in the summer you can also eat outside 👍

Anyone who visits the Bebenhausen Monastery will see a lot of interesting things "within the walls" - but Bebenhausen also has a lot to offer from the "outside"!

The tour around the lake and around the wall should be included in your visit.

Beautiful former monastery in the middle of Schönbuch. Location of many events with excellent restaurants. Large parking lot on the edge of Bebenhausen.

Einsiedel is always worth a visit

The Achalm (707 m) is one of the most important landmarks in Reutlingen, along with the Marienkirche and the Tübinger Tor. Unfortunately, only a few remains of the walls of the former castle and today's lookout tower, built around 1838 on the foundations of the former keep, have survived.
