Great walking and wheeling path.

Stunning stop for a sit or a swim. Not easy to carry your bike across . Ballater is a few miles up with a nice trail to and from. (And macaroni pies.)

A beautiful small lochan close to Dinnet

Gates and steps make crossing this bridge unsuitable for electric bikes or for anyone with any kind of disability

A historic bridge with a good viewpoint along the River Dee

A great stop for lunch or coffee in Aboyne. Lovely cake selection.

The restored railway track runs all the way from Ballater to Aboyne (and on to Aberdeen).

The old Royal Deeside Railway opened in 1853 and ran until 1966. Now the track makes a super easy walking/ cycle path.

A former railway track and now a quite scenic excellent hiking/cycling track.

And let's not forget the excellent cycle shop on the southwest corner of the park—a most useful resource.

If the weather is right, you can take a trip.

Ballater is just the prettiest place to collapse after a 40km cycle! (Ice creams from Shorties helps too)

Swim spot!

you can stay in Dinnet and start a hike from there through Muir of Dinnet, Loch Kinord, Burn o'vat, Campus o may and on to Ballater along Deeside. Highly recommended for bird watching, dragonflies, and a varied landscape - pine forests, lochs, heaths, pear bog and marsh, river side, and glacial geological features :)

Be sure to visit Cambus O'May Cheese & Milk Hoose Café past Ballater.

They serve a selection of toasted sandwiches made with their cheese, and cheese platters, ploughmans etc. plus cheese and accompanying biscuits to take away!

Fairly big tourist town with plenty of cafes and large supermarket.

Big bike shop offering repairs and sales. Well worth a visit.

Tea rooms and adjacent to one of the two bike shops in Ballater.
