This bridge over the canal that connects Lake Mergozzo to Lake Maggiore, in the Fondo Toce nature reserve, is perfect for crossing the waterway. Perfectly cycle-friendly, it has explanatory and information panels at both ends.

"Lagh da Margözz" in the Ossola dialect, this fascinating body of water is located in the Lepontine Alps and owes its name to the municipality that overlooks it. Here, also thanks to the clarity of its waters, water sports such as canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing are practiced.

From this panoramic point near Someraro you can see from a privileged position the small but fascinating Borromean Islands, in Lake Maggiore. The three largest are called Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori.

The route offers some beautiful views. You can turn around in Miazzio, or even go further up to Capella Fina. Here, however, you should be prepared for steep gradients of up to 20%. The asphalt is currently (09/24) good to decent, only on the last kilometer there are a few larger cracks and potholes.
