Numerous paths to do on foot and by mountain bike in the various woods of the tuff valley

In the Municipality of Terre Roveresche (PU), at less than 200 meters above sea level, there is the town of Spicello. Its position is enchanting, it is always ventilated due to the view and connection between the sea and the mountains; you can admire the Adriatic Sea, the wonderful hills of the Marche, the mountain range of Carpegna, Nerone, Catria and San Vicino.

Sanctuary that was born, as often happens, in a place considered miraculous. In fact, it seems that in one of the typical caves of the place a statue of a Madonna was found which, despite being moved, always returned to that place.

This area is also characterized by the nesting phenomenon of the Bee-eater, a small and colorful bird that arrives in these areas from Africa between April and May. You literally pedal between tufa walls about 2/3 meters high and you arrive at a crossroads with a fishing lake, called Grottaccia, where it is said that once there was a refuge for brigands.

There is a beautiful statue with two faces and a beautiful cherry. Incredible view of a shed, peak of Catria and Acuto. In the square there is also a pastry shop and at the entrance to the "castle", in a small square, there is also a fountain.
