The Obermatt Bridge near Emmenmatt is a new bridge built in 2007. The location is not ideal, as the distance to the Ilfis is rather small and in the event of flooding there is a risk that the river could be blocked by trees. The bridge can therefore be hydraulically raised by 70 cm. Its appearance is unusual in the Emmental, as the typical roof is missing.
