In Skælskør, just before turning towards the harbor/bridge, you will see this red half-timbered house on your left.

Beautiful lakeside swimming spot. As is almost typical for Scandinavian swimming spots, the non-swimmer area is separated by a jetty. Unfortunately, the lawn was a bit littered, but it's a great place for a quick swim at the lake.

On the shores of the Tystrup Sø in Zealand, this viewpoint is really a really beautiful way to enjoy the nature and have some rest on the picnic bench.

The museum was opened in 1943, in 2011 it got an addtional new section. Also inside the museum modernity and history meet as 300 years of art are covered.

In the main street of the historic town you will find a beautiful listed building: Sorø Art Museum, where old meets new in an elegant way. The museum opened in 1943 in the former estate manager's house of the Sorø Academy from 1832, and in 2011 a new department was added, designed by the architects Lundgaard & Tranberg. The extension is a wonderful example of how modern architecture approaches history and the existing environment with respect. And just like the architecture, Sorø Museum's exhibitions span a wide historical span: 300 years of art, starting with Holberg's time, through Danish Romanticism and Modernism, to very current art. The museum's collection houses a select number of the biggest names in Danish art history, such as: E.g. From this vantage point you can see to the south, the cliffs and to the north-west. The big bridge in front of you is the open sea. Where ships pull. You should still exercise caution and not stand too close to the edge, as something can break off at any time.
