The railway ferry in Fürstenberg/Havel connected the two banks of the Havel River for decades and played a vital role in the transport of goods and passengers. Ferry service began in 1934 and ceased in 1993. The ferry has been a listed historical monument since 1993.

A lively little town with history. A beautiful church on the market square; there's also Cafe Reinhold: a good breakfast on the terrace.

A fantastic view of the Briese River. The trail leads along a narrow path through the forest, towards the Alte Försterei Wensickendorf (Old Forester's Lodge Wensickendorf) to a wooden bridge that crosses the Briese. Occasionally, you'll need to dismount and push your bike or carry it over obstacles. This is a highly recommended route if you want to enjoy nature and are willing to tackle the sometimes rough terrain.

The unique building is striking even from afar. The entire setting is a real draw, with horses, alpacas (further back in the adjacent forest), some art, and, last but not least, the nicely decorated snack bar/café. Walk to the food truck and then find one of the rustically designed seating areas. Warning: It's mostly sunny here!
