I once read that 100 years ago you could take a boat from Aventoft to Leck. Lecker used to be a port town (Lecker Au). This is a wonderful path to the Ladelund concentration camp memorial and meeting place. The path roughly corresponds to the route of the anti-tank ditch that forced laborers wanted to dig over 13 km to Humptrup. The meeting place was beautifully redesigned in 2018 and contains information for various ways of dealing with the topic. By the way, it is also very nice to drive to the Schwesing memorial on the Geest. I have already done that myself. The Kolkerheide near Löwenstedt is similar to the landscape near Süderlügum.
