The Port of Flensburg forms the maritime heart of the city of Flensburg and is located at the end of the Flensburg Fjord. It can be divided into the west side, the east side, and the harbor tip, and boasts impressive historical, industrial, and tourist attractions. On the west side is the picturesque Historic Harbor with the "Alexandra," a historic steamship, and the Museum Harbor, where around twenty traditional museum ships can be seen, including the shark cutter Dagmar Aaen. Between the two sides lies the Hafenspitze, an open space that often serves as an event venue or simply invites you to linger – perhaps to play Frisbee or relax by the water.

Meierwik is a small bay on the Flensburg Fjord in the city of Glücksburg, characterized by its tranquil shoreline and natural setting. The view of the fjord offers expansive views across the water to the opposite coastlines, framed by wooded slopes and a shoreline of rockfall and vegetation. The area is characterized by a moraine ridge dating back to the last Ice Age, as well as moist lowlands in the hinterland.
