Neuf-Brisach is the city of the Sun King: it was founded in 1699 by the sole will of Louis XIV. Today, this citadel is considered Vauban's masterpiece. This architecturally unique structure in Europe has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This used to be the meeting point for our mountain bike group. It's a lovely walk along the Elz River.

This used to be the Riegeler Brewery, which, according to its name, means "Riegeler Beer." There was also always an Oktoberfest with Bock beer. Today, there is an art exhibition, lofts for living, and even a small private brewery.
