The cyclist bus from Nabburg drops you off right at Schönsee town hall, where you can start a great tour on the Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Cycle Route back to Nabburg. In this direction, the elevation profile is also a very relaxed tour away from the roads. Great route for gravel bikers!!! Highly recommended. I will also soon start the slightly longer second option via the Pfreimdtal cycle path back to Nabburg.

I really enjoyed the section I drove! The entire railway line is very long. Well maintained, well documented and signposted, very pleasant to drive - highly recommended!

The cyclist bus for the Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Trail stops right in the town center. However, you should take some time for Schönsee before you set off on the railway line cycle path or after you have completed it. The spa gardens with the Hahnenweiher pond, the Centrum Bavaria Bohemia (CeBB), a Bavarian-Bohemian cultural center with exhibitions, and the Catholic parish church of St. Wenceslas are worth seeing.

The Hahnenweiher in the heart of Schönsee is a beautiful place to relax. Between 1989 and 1996, a spa park was created around the small lakes Hahnenweiher and Keckenweiher and along the Ascha. The Schönsee Lake Festival takes place here, among other things, there is the possibility to rent rowing boats and pedal boats and the lake is an inviting place for walks or to relax.
