Untreusee, located south of Hof in the Eppenreuth district. Information: This reservoir primarily serves tourism and recreation. Flood control in winter and augmenting the Saale River's water levels in autumn are secondary functions. The Untreusee takes its name from the Ölsnitz stream, formerly also known as the Untreubach, which feeds it.

Great cycle path Schwarzenbach-Fattigau-Oberkotzau-Untreusee-Fernwehpark-Wurlitz-Rehau 👍 almost no incline and wonderful scenery with places to stop for refreshments 👌🏼

An excellent cycle path on the former railway line. It's almost completely flat, free of potholes and uneven surfaces. The route is also relatively quiet, making it ideal for really picking up speed. The surrounding scenery is particularly charming. Overall, this cycle path is highly recommended.
