Lenne Bridge to Hohenlimburg. Here you come to the cycle paths on the other side

This pedestrian bridge call old Hohenlimburg chain bridge. It shortened the walk from Elsey to downtown Hohenlimburg (formerly Limburg). I still know the previous bridge with wooden planks, but there were no chains to be seen. It was also used by workers for their company, e.g. Göke&Sohn (textile factory) or Bilstein (cold rolling mill). Below next to the bridge in a south-eastern direction was once the Hohenlimburg fairground. It was always nice in the 70's and 80's

The garden is characterized by old horse chestnut trees. Today the building is used by the Ruhr Academy: art, photography, illustration, communication design, film acting and film directing are the possible courses of study here.

Cologne-Deutzer-Brücke in small and in Letmathe

Built in 1455 by Jan von Boyle von Wetter, a hereditary castle keeper in Wetter, for his son-in-law from the von Neheim family. In 1734 the castle came into the possession of the von Höfen family on Sölde, and in 1839 a private citizen from Cologne bought the property. After that, the property changed hands frequently. The many wars at the time meant that the complex had to be designed entirely for defense. The current buildings date from the 17th and 19th centuries. In the mid-1970s, Haus Ruhr was used as a children's and youth home. Since 1987 it has housed the Ruhr Academy, a private training institute. (see Wikipedia)
