A very beautiful tower on the Heeseberg in a good location between the Elm and Harz. When visibility is good 👀 the Brocken in the Harz is clearly visible!

The Remlinger Heerse is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Remlingen-Semmenstedt in the district of Wolfenbüttel. The nature reserve with the designation NSG BR 155 is approximately 12.5 hectares in size. It is part of the 648 hectare FFH area "Asse". To the south and east it borders on the landscape protection area "Asse, Klein Vahlberger Buchen and adjacent landscape parts", which has been incorporated into the nature reserve within the scope of the nature conservation ordinance, to the north and west it borders on the landscape protection area "Asse". An impressive tower and you can even climb it and enjoy the great view from the top. It is not easy to reach from the south side as there is a 15 percent gradient at the top. There are also benches at the foot of the tower so you can take a break there.

In 1912, the observation tower was built by Karl Kleye using his own funds. The stone required to build the Heeseberg Tower comes from the Heeseberg quarries.

Due to its special location and its 360 degree panorama, the Ösel is worthwhile at any time. The paths up to the summit are not paved and some are quite steep, but are easy to ride on a gravel bike.

The Heesebergturm - sometimes not a Bismarkturm - is a well-preserved vantage point on the Heeseberg ridge! The old deciduous tree population is not quite as high, but...!
