Great exhibition and good concept!

At 1,662 hectares, the Heidengraben is the largest Celtic oppidum in Germany and impresses with its well-preserved ramparts, which adapt to the shape of the plateau and were once fortified with elaborate pincer gates and a post-and-slot wall. Despite Roman finds in the region, there is no evidence of any direct encounter between Celts and Romans here.

The circular trail leads directly to the historical sites and is equipped with information panels and interactive information boards. History comes alive here: At the touch of a button, you can access exciting stories and facts that shed light on Celtic culture.
