The entrance to Heidelberg's Old Town

The pictures speak for themselves – I don't think I need to explain to anyone why it's worth coming here. Just one request – bring more time!

From here you have a great view of the Neckar and Bad Wimpfen. It is nice to stroll along the Neckar and enjoy the great view.

It is very crowded here in summer, but it is particularly beautiful at sunset.

Perfectly flat, super surface in the meadows between the Neckar and the Neckar Canal. Ideal for speeding up and doing intervals, but can also be crossed in leisurely mode.

The original stone bridge, a successor to various wooden bridges, was built in the 1780s. Unfortunately, it was blown up in the last days of the Second World War. However, the citizens of Heidelberg collected donations and the bridge was rebuilt in 1946/47. It connects the old town of Heidelberg with the district of Neuenheim.

Drive to Offenau. Then go down to the Neckar. Walk along the Neckaroromenade. In both directions. In one direction you have a wonderful view of Bad Wimpfen, which is on the opposite side of the Neckar. In the other direction there is a great view of Heinsheim with Heinsheim Castle. In summer the beach promenade is open to the public.
