Sometimes, the bridge closes to allow boat traffic through. While waiting can be a bit dull, it’s always fun to watch the bridge rise and all the people queuing to go across.

The old Stend stasjon is a historic building from the former railway line (Osbanen). The station serves as a reminder of the area's railway past and is a noticeable landmark. It's worth a visit as you pass by.

This highlight marks the road going up and was part of the 2017 UCI Championship TT Race that Tom Dumoulin (NL) won. At the top, next to restaurant, there is a plaque on the ground of the finish line.

Øyjordsvatnet is a picturesque, elongated lake characterized by its natural beauty. The lake is surrounded by bare rocks, islands, and peninsulas, with small bays along its shores. It's a popular spot for hiking and cycling, offering a tranquil rural view with a mix of water and rugged, natural terrain.

Breathtaking nature – like almost everywhere here – great surface and a fantastic, long climb. A perfect day for cycling. Don't forget warm clothes, even in summer. It's really chilly up there...

Great, long climb, very good surface, and manageable gradient. As a long-time Southern France fan, I completely underestimated how important it might be to always bring a vest, arm warmers, and leg warmers, even if it's supposedly the warmer season. It's not as cold as on an Alpine pass or the Ventoux. Extremely cold, a rookie mistake with 50,-(

The snow walls are really cool. This is a special kind of cycling. And in general, it's really beautiful here.

One of many bridges in this region giving perfect Norwegian views. Used for the 2017 World Road Race Champs to try and split the group up in the wind, all we got was beautiful views! Oh well.
