Beautifully renovated church in the small village of Feld

From the 13th century until their extinction, it was the ancestral seat and administrative centre of the Counts of Görtz. The estates stretched from the Puster Valley, through Friuli to Istria and into present-day Slovenia. The Habsburgs then acquired these lands through an inheritance contract.

Thanks to the slight gradient, nice asphalt and sheltered location, it is ideal for families.

Beautiful cycle path along the Isel. If you're lucky, you'll see people doing water sports. The banks are mostly overgrown, though.

What a struggle to get up here, but the joy is even greater when you have made it and are standing at the top of the pass. Great panorama.
