Here I was once again particularly lucky. A woman from the settlement noticed my interest in the chapel, so we started talking, and she opened the chapel for me. The chapel was built when a fire raged through the settlement in 1961, destroying only one house, exactly on the spot where the chapel was later built. Each year, a different family from the settlement is responsible for the chapel, and mass is only held there once a year, in May. Then I was able to find out where the best view of the Wechsel and the Schneeberg mountains is. People come together through conversation.

The chapel dates back to the 15th century and houses a wooden statue from 1479 (see picture).

That's what you call making use of the space. Here the church and fire department were built in one building, even though the fire department was expanded behind it, the church remained small.
