Everything is a bit kitsch, but in great shape. And in the small shop there you can even get souvenirs - in addition to water, sweets and tourist items. Also at relatively fair prices.

A small highlight along the way. Unfortunately, there is no time to explore it in more detail. But maybe others will catch up? By the way, I am a user and not a user who recommends this highlight!💁🏼‍♂️

The Almiros Gorge is accessible from the east side about 2 km on a path. There are 2 chapels on this way. At the second chapel, however, the path ends through a locked gate.

The lake has an impressive blue color. Also around the lake, the area is very pretty. For tourists in Amoudara a walk here is certainly a nice change to the beach and souvenir shops.

Cretan village newly built in the old style (about 27 years ago), which has taverns, cafes, small artisan shops, museums and a hotel with swimming pool. Very quiet, very nice location! And affordable room rates. But it is about 10 km from Amoudara. If you want to see more, you must rent a car.
