Well, to be honest, you really have to look for "old houses from the Venetian times" for a long time, except Casarma, maybe another one, does anyone know where? And the highest point in the city is actually the rather ugly airport area. Nevertheless, Sitia - especially in winter - of course has its charm as a small town that functions without tourism and has everything you need.

And you should definitely try the Loukoumadis - a kind of warm pancake - in the Mitsakakis cafeteria, which is located in the promenade. It is a must-have! All of our Cretan friends agree. If Loukoumadis - then Mitsakakis !!
