Just before the small bridge (visible on the left) near the Pfauenwald forest, there are huge, deep potholes. Danger of accidents!!! May not be visible depending on the position of the sun! Car drivers, of course, also be careful.

📍 Plaka Forest, Kos The stars of Plaka Forest are clearly the peacocks – in full color, calling loudly, roaming proudly. And then: the white peacocks, almost like apparitions between light and shadow. In between, cats roam the forest – observed, but not chased away. The peacocks tolerate them, almost protecting them. 💡 Tip: If you stay quiet, you'll become part of this unusual forest community. Have your camera ready – but not too loudly. The animals have their own order, and as a visitor, you can silently marvel along.

📍 Plaka Forest, Kos Suddenly, between pine trees, peacocks, and shimmering light, it appears: a small, white and blue miniature chapel. Almost impossible to miss, but rich in symbolic significance. It seems like a prayer carved from stone—silent, respectful, at one with its surroundings. 💡 Tip: A beautiful moment to pause—whether you're religious or not. If you look closely, you'll often spot small candles, flowers, or pictures left behind by other visitors.

Entry costs 5 euros. You can sit comfortably in the shade and buy e.g. Greek lemonade with mastic, as well as other specialties. very nice
