The parish church is a remarkable church for this small town. Originally probably late Gothic in the 15th century, the church has undergone alterations throughout the centuries. The most significant change to the interior was the Rococo period. A stop on your cycling or hiking tour is definitely recommended. The inn "Zur Post" has a long history and its name dates back to the time when stagecoaches drove daily along the post road from Munich to Mühldorf. Among the guests who stopped off in Hohenlinden on their way through in those bygone times were famous personalities such as the Austrian Emperor Joseph II, Pope Pius VI and the musical genius Ludwig van Beethoven. Good, homely cooking with friendly service. Opening hours have changed, so it's best to call in advance.
