Die Alten Allern sind teil stehende, teils langsam fließende Gewässer mit viel Bewuchs am Rand und im Wasser. Die Grundbeschaffenheit ist sandig-morastig mit leicht trübem Wasser. Die Alten Allern wird von Wanderern, Naturfreunden und Anglern genutzt. Hauptfischarten sind heute Aal, Hecht, Barsch, Karpfen, Schleie, Weißfische und Edelkrebse. In der Zeit von Mai bis Oktober ist auf der Alten Aller das Paddeln, unter Beachtung der Naturverträglichkeit, eingeschränkt zugelassen. South of Bremen and directly on the Weser is the Wieltsee, which has developed from a former gravel pit into one of the largest leisure harbors on the Middle Weser. The approximately 20 hectare natural harbor was created after the end of the dredging work in the course of gravel mining with a breakthrough to the Weser. In 1979 the first club jetty was put into operation. Marina Wieltsee, other clubs and a yacht service followed. The municipality of Weyhe acquired the body of water in 2010, renovated the existing marina and leased it to a professional operator.
