ハルバーシュタット近郊のコウモリ洞窟と特徴的な砂岩の岩石層は、ハルツ前地のクルスベルゲ地域にあります。特に柔らかい砂岩の小さな亀裂や洞窟は、コウモリにとって理想的な隠れ家となっており、この地域名の由来となっています。 美しいハイキングコースが奇妙な岩の間をまっすぐ通っています。夕暮れ時にはコウモリを観察できるかもしれませんし、同時に岩、森、展望台からなる特別な「ハルバーシュタットのスイス」を体験するのに最適です。

Schäferhöhleは、ハルバーシュタットの南にあるKlusbergen山脈にあり、砂岩の洞窟や岩石層の小さなネットワークの一部です。特に興味深いのは、これらの洞窟の多くが自然にできたものではなく、かつて人々が柔らかい砂岩に部分的に掘ったものであり、簡単な避難所や隠者の場所として使われていたことです。

Amsbergの道の下にある小さな洞窟は、隠れたフォトジェニックな場所であり、ハイキング中の休憩に最適な場所です。道沿いにあり、簡単にアクセスできます。ただし、特に雨の後など、地面が滑りやすくなる可能性があるため、丈夫な靴をお勧めします。
