Jerichow Monastery is the oldest brick building north of the Alps and an important stop on the Way of St. James and the Elbe Cycle Route.

It's always lovely to cycle along the Elbe.

Here in Tangermünde 🏰 and the surrounding area, it's wonderful to cycle 🚴 or hike and a city tour is a must if you're already here. I will come here again, because I certainly haven't seen everything yet...👀😂🙋🏼‍♂️ and then visit one of the nice restaurants...🤤😋

A wonderful natural landscape, simply breathtaking to look at. There the soul can breathe deeply and you forget the everyday stress.

Late Gothic building from the 14th century. Today the town history museum, the ballroom and the registry office are housed there. The memorial to Grete Minde stands at the courthouse

From here you have a beautiful view along the Elbe

The observation tower on the Bölsdorfer Haken allows a view over the Elbe dyke and is equipped with informative boards on the local fauna. It is located directly on the Elbe cycle path, can hardly be missed and is suitable for pausing for a moment and listening to nature (abundant bird life).

At the right time of year you can watch thousands of migratory birds here. A great natural spectacle.
