Half-timbered church in Gartz near Havelberg with its octagonal floor plan was built in 1688 and today appears to be a completely crooked structure. Inside there is a baroque altar and a Lütkemüller organ from 1871.

The ferry in Arneburg has been in operation again since October 9, 2023: Ferry times: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Last operational trip 15 minutes before the end of the ferry time.

Havelberg belonged to Brandenburg until 1952, but a territorial reform in the GDR brought it to Saxony-Anhalt. A vote carried out in the city council in 1990 with the aim of being re-affiliated to Brandenburg was unsuccessful with a narrow result.
