Nice building, good view and large rest area

Unfortunately the path is still closed (see https://www.komoot.de/highlight/4277747) . But there is a trail (see https://www.komoot.de/tour/732309410) above the path that leads to the 14 pillar cave (see https://www.komoot.de/highlight/1185894) at the edge of the forest.

The climb up here is very varied, the ruins appear almost out of nowhere and seem very dreamy.

The Rivera is currently still closed!

I actually didn't expect it to be so well preserved. And the view from there is absolutely amazing. It reminded me of the Bode Valley.

beautiful vantage point with rest stop The small Eberstein hunting lodge was built in 1844 in the Moorish ruin style. It is located in the former wild boar gate ("Saugarten"). Wild boars were intensively cared for and hunted here by the princely house until 1918. The basement rooms were used to store game fodder. In addition to the cellar rooms, the remains of a horse stable are still available. The jewel above the Schwarza has been looked after by the Eberstein friends from Dittersdorf for several decades.
