This pilgrimage chapel is dedicated to the Mother of God under the special patronage of the "Seven Sorrows of Mary" (also known as "Mater Dolorosa," as can be read on the mosaic image). In the corresponding depictions, the Mother of God is surrounded by seven swords stabbing her in the heart. The biblical origin of this can be found in the Gospel of Luke, where Simeon says to Mary about her son, Jesus Christ: + "Behold, this man is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel. Beautiful pilgrimage chapel with great views in all directions. The ascent from the Malscher side is the steepest at around 12%, from the Malschenberger side around 8%🚵‍♂️

Very interesting biotope but you can't look there for long because of the mosquitoes

There is a nice café in the Hermitage. Sometimes music bands play there.
