A very nice water playground that will certainly be very popular in the summer.

The Catholic Garrison Church was built in 1904 and features Art Nouveau decorations. A must-visit and marvel at the sheer number of paintings!

St. George's Church in Ulm was built as a Catholic garrison church south of the "Old Cemetery" from 1902 to 1904 by the architects Max and Carl Anton Meckel in a neo-Gothic style. Today, it serves as the parish church of the Catholic parish of St. George, established in 1920. As one of the few remaining virtually unchanged Gothic Revival churches, it has been registered as a cultural monument of special significance in the Baden-Württemberg Register of Monuments. The building, still virtually unchanged today, is designed as a three-aisled basilica, with the central nave being unusually wide, while the side aisles are very narrow. Bricks with white joints were used as the main building material; the high gable roof is covered with plain shingles, and the spires are covered with copper. The roof and spires rest on iron substructures. The tower, designed as a western wing, stands in full width in front of the central nave. The interior of the church is painted. The pictorial program on the ceiling in the central nave recalls its original function as a garrison church. Two stylized oak trees, "symbols of German loyalty," whose foliage bears the coats of arms of the federal states (from 1871 onward) of the German Empire, traverse the apex of the vault. The high altar is modeled after a late Gothic winged altarpiece. The organ was created in 1904 by Eberhard Friedrich Walcker (Ludwigsburg). After the last renovation of the building in the 1990s, damage is still evident. Various structural elements and masonry sections are breaking off on the tower. In addition, the copper plates of the tower roof covering are loose and threaten to collapse in storms. The extensive renovation has been underway since 2013. The German Foundation for Monument Protection is contributing to the carpentry and plumbing work involved in the renovation of the facades and the tower roof. The castle is worth seeing. It offers a magnificent view over Heidenheim, and the castle grounds are very interesting. Guided tours are also offered.
