One of the most beautiful castle ruins in Schramberg. Even the hiking trail or the climbing variant are adventurous.

Partly on paths and over incredibly great, old stone stairs, it goes up to the ruins here.

Visiting the castle when in Hornberg is an absolute must. The view from the tower is phenomenal. Hornberg with the train station and the viaduct lies at your feet like on a railway system.

The ascent or descent from the valley town of St. Maria Church can be chosen via a demanding short or more comfortable route. Or slowly rising over the Erets Chapel. Or via Junghans industrial park. Many ways lead up, but there are already 200 meters in altitude:) Great job as the castle is explained. An adventure for children to explore every corner. May 2021: The restaurant is unfortunately still closed due to Corona. Otherwise very nice resting place.
