A beautiful cycle path that is also very pleasant to ride. Hardly any inclines and with lots of nature. But you have to be careful when crossing the roads (in almost every town) (and it's best to always stop briefly).

The great advantage of cycle paths on former railway lines is that the gradient is only moderate, as even early locomotives could only travel uphill to a limited extent and valleys are crossed by bridges. This means that the Schinderhannes cycle path is also ideal for occasional cyclists, for a not too strenuous tour through the Hunsrück, which is not lacking in hills and valleys.
