But everything is there again, although the bridge is locked with doors and gates because it's unsafe. It's only used to divert water into the Rednitz River. Meanwhile, a gate has been placed over the ditch to allow crossing.

Here, the Heidenberg transmitter, south of Schwabach in Franconia, is used today to broadcast FM radio programs, mobile radio, and microwave radio. But the giant has a turbulent past, which once even caused it to shrink... That the Hun King Attila is buried at the foot of Heidenberg is a legend. That the tower was once larger, however, is a fact. On August 31, 2005, the fiberglass cylinder containing the antennas for transmitting analog TV channels was dismantled. The height of the tower was thus reduced from 219.6 meters to 200.2 meters.

Unfortunately the jetty is no longer there, so I had to turn back today (2.6.25), otherwise really recommendable
