The old stone sluice from 1619 is not the pumping station, but the nearby old sluice leading through a dike. The old lock got its name from being one of the first brick structures in the area. It is the oldest hydraulic structure in the area, built by Dutch specialists. If you drive towards the pumping station, turn left before the dyke and past the farm into the dead end. It's worth taking a look over the dike to see the connection. There is currently an agricultural trailer in the stone lock. The lock could be presented more attractively, after all it is a listed building.

The Nordfeld lock was built in 1936 and pedestrians and cyclists have been able to cross it since 2001. 01.11 - 31.03 can only be crossed during the operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Sundays/holidays and on December 24th/31st from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Be careful when approaching. Soil can be very muddy. Slipping. Good footwear is advisable.
