The bike path runs along the bottom of the dam, but there are several places to access the dam. There are plenty of anglers on the dam.

When I still lived in Jettingen (2020) I was there often. Great swimming lake. Also beautiful to look at in winter when everything is frozen. Nice memory. :)

The Oberegger Stausee is a reservoir on the Günz between Oberegg and Deisenhausen. The retention basin in the shunt was built for the Oberegg hydroelectric power station, which went into operation in 1942. The lake stores the water at night and releases it again during the day when electricity is needed.
