3月 11, 2024, Dog Beach and Picnic Area at Rottauensee
The Rottauensee, also called Rottstausee or Postmünster reservoir, is a reservoir near Postmünster in the Rottal-Inn district. In 1954, the Rott flooded 7,000 hectares of agricultural land and caused buildings and bridges to collapse. The flood of 1965 also caused damage. The Free State of Bavaria built a retention basin near Postmünster from 1968 to 1973. At the same time, a hydroelectric power plant with an output of 300 kilowatts and a standard output of 1.1 million kWh per year was built. The system consists of a Kaplan shaft turbine and a synchronous generator and was completely renovated in 2008.[1] Boat dock near Postmünster. The Rottauensee serves as a local recreation area for the town of Pfarrkirchen. There are numerous sports and leisure facilities around the lake, especially golf and mini golf courses as well as tennis courts. Swimming, sailing and surfing are possible on the lake. There is a boat harbor on the southern bank. There is a glider airfield nearby. Of the approximately 300 hectares of lake and shore area, around 20 hectares are biotope areas and 50 hectares are extensively managed meadows, making them home to some rare animal and plant species. The area is also an important resting place for migratory birds (Source: Wikipedia, 2024).

The former noble family on the Hofmark Birnbach built a small church in the valley about 3 km southwest of Erlbach as early as 1484. In the second half of the 17th century there was a structural change that gave the church its present form. https://pfarrverband-reischach.de/index.php/pfarrei/pfarrei-erlbach/kirchen/birnbach

11月 5, 2020, St. Corona Pilgrimage Church
The parish and pilgrimage church of St. Corona with its mighty tower is one of the most important church buildings in the district. The late Gothic church building was probably completed around 1490. The neo-Gothic furnishings have been preserved, but the late Gothic figures, which are assigned to a school successor to Hans Leinberger, are particularly noteworthy. Remnants of late Gothic wall paintings and red inscriptions are also still preserved. The beautiful lily fittings on the sacristy door and the north portal are also from the Gothic period. The veneration of St. Corona reached its peak in Eastern Bavaria and Austria in the 15th century, which may also have been the reason for the church being built between 1481 and 1488.
