But what you see here isn't a creature straight out of a fantasy novel, but a wooden pedestrian bridge connecting the two banks of the Main-Danube Canal. At 193 meters long, it can proudly claim to be one of the longest wooden bridges in Europe. From the bridge, beautiful views of Essing, the Randeck Castle ruins, and the river landscape are guaranteed.
