The Salzach Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Europe and is the most important link between the town of Oberndorf and the Bavarian town of Laufen. The construction of the bridge was a joint initiative of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the Kingdom of Bavaria, with the costs being shared. The length of the bridge is 165 m. The total weight is around 715 tonnes.
