We hiked here from Garmisch Partenkirchen, a good 14 km there and back. The waterfalls are impressive. The power of the water, and there's no entrance fee. It's a highly recommended excursion :-)

The Laintal is romantic and therefore very nice for a hike. The Lainbach waterfall is certainly not one of the largest waterfalls in Bavaria, but it is beautiful.

The Laintal waterfall can be reached from the center of Mittenwald via a short hike (walking time approx. half an hour). Simply follow the signs towards Lautersee through the Laintal. The waterfall is about halfway between Mittenwald and Lautersee.

Very worthwhile destination, nice path to the waterfall and the view from the bridge is great. If you go up to the top you can see the hole in the wall from which the water comes. Depending on the amount of water, the water also comes from several holes in the mountain wall.

You can access the waterfall in many different spots. They view, the sound and each spot is nice. The whole big path is about 20 min walk along the waterfall. Afterwards you can hike up a bit to enjoy too

The Höllentalklamm is very beautiful, but the ascent to the Höllentaleingasngshütte is exhausting and sweaty. There is discounted entry for Alpine Club members.
