Preferably take the route via Sulzkopf, if you are coming from Gaißach, as the standard route recommended by komoot is very muddy.

The parish church of the Assumption of Mary in the centre of Bad Tölz is the oldest building in the Isarwinkel and dominates the townscape with its characteristic tower

There's a well there. The water isn't tested, but there's no guarantee it's safe to drink.

Great view of Lake Tegernsee and the mountains beyond. A bench and several places to stretch your legs in the meadow.

Nice destination for anyone looking for a summit cross (Almkreuz) without a lot of hustle and bustle. The Alm originally belonged to the Tegernsee monastery and was first mentioned in documents in 1529. The last of the five old Alm buildings was demolished in 2018. The new building that was planned has not yet taken place. The Alm was not in use anyway. Various paths lead up from Bad Wiessee and Finsterwald, some of them are decent climbs with lots of roots. In terms of views, the nearby Hirschberg dominates. Continue to the Nesselscheibe.

Suitable for a short break with a photo opportunity.

The Rechelkopf is the closest Alpine peak from Munich - an inconspicuous, 1330 m high forest crest. On the ascent and on the summit, however, the forests thin out and there are wonderful deep and distant views. At the summit you can see past the Brauneck to the Höllental glacier and the Zugspitze summit.

From the market street you have a nice view of the church tower of Maria Himmelfahrt.
