This place is truly beautiful. Especially in spring after the snowmelt, when it gurgles and bubbles particularly loudly and you can't see the stream because it's hidden under the rocks.

The landscape might be more reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, but this place is definitely worth a visit.

Well, Karlstift is quite far away from this beautiful forest section of the Granittrail or Fassldorf route, which leads crisply up to Bruderndorf

There are no signs of bison in the immediate vicinity – the "pasture" is located near Langschlag. Unfortunately, it's only open Saturday/Sunday afternoons.

Many granite islands can be found here in the meadows and forests; this is one of the larger ones.

Beautiful forest paths along the Granite Trail and from Weikertschlag lead to the water station.
