Nickern Castle in Dresden. Information: Dated 1693 (castle (manor)). Corner tower (the latter in Baroque Revival style). One of the oldest buildings in the city of Dresden, significant in terms of architectural and local history. Several rooms can be rented for private events.

Memorial for the victims of National Socialist euthanasia crimes in 1940/1941 on the Sonnenstein. Since 2008, the former Sonnenstein fortress, which had already had an eventful history, has been made fit for a new historical phase. The older part of the complex, the bastions and fortifications from the 18th century as well as the terraced gardens from the 19th century, have been reconstructed and renovated and have been open to visitors since May 2012. In addition to the many tourist outdoor areas, Sonnenstein Castle has many beautiful sights to offer inside. Tours can be booked all year round for groups and individual guests. The baroque-looking basic structures of the Weesenstein Castle Park, which are still preserved today, probably go back to the design will of the Baron von Uckermann family, who acquired the property in 1772. However, the castle owners of the following centuries have also left their mark. The river bed of the Müglitz was diverted so that it crosses the park and divides it into two wings. In this way, a natural water feature was created, which is supplemented by an artificial small waterfall. Both parts of the park each form a formal unit through which a strictly symmetrical network of paths leads to various adventure areas. Diverse roses and flower borders adorn the part of the park near the palace. In the larger part of the park, shady avenues of lime trees and paths lined with hornbeam hedges lead to architectural gems.
