The journey is the destination? Not at our Renchtalhütte in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach! The Black Forest, Alsatian and French specialties are so delicious, the view so beautiful, the atmosphere so enchanting and cozy that it's not "We're going hiking", but "We're hiking to the Renchtalhütte!" It's a wonderful spot high above the Renchtal, where the Renchtalhütte, as a "rustic branch" of the Dollenberg Hotel, knows how to pamper visitors in a down-to-earth way. With homemade Maultaschen with onion jus, Alsatian "Bäckeoffe", Bibileskäs, smoked Black Forest trout, sausage in a jar, cracklings, onion roast beef, fondue and raclette and, and, and. Prepared with that certain something in the Dollenberg kitchen under the direction of star chef Martin Herrmann. And served by friendly staff who love service. Closed as always when I get through. But the spring was open and bubbled. 😄

Very good food with a nice sun terrace and the opportunity for children to play in the playground or feed the goats.
