A geo-highlight! The rock formation on the main ridge of the desert garden, which is inclined at around 50°, looks like a trap. The geotope owes its unusual shape to thick-bedded ridge quartzite. Parts of the slabs have broken off along the bank joints and crevices, so that the slab has been modelled - similar to a taut mousetrap. An interesting rock formation with a funny name.

At 675 m, the Wüstegarten is the highest mountain in the Kellerwald and Kellerwaldsteig. The Kellerwald Tower offers a great view. The viewing platform is at 700 m.

If you come from above you can drive past quickly. On the stones - wide about 6 meters high about 15 meters - there is a wooden cross. The stones are also a well-known hiking destination.

Beautiful cycle path with many picnic opportunities. But: it's always a slight uphill climb to the Oberaula.
