You have beautiful views of Eberbach from many places, since Eberbach lies in the valley, nestled between the Odenwald mountains.

The modern new building of the tower is very well done. Wide stairs with child safety locks lead up the "ladder to heaven", from which you have a wonderful view. Even with a large number of visitors, it is still possible to climb up and down safely.

As a "replacement" for the dilapidated Irene Tower, the Trommturm was inaugurated in September 2022 and offers a wonderful panoramic view. Anyone who is afraid of heights should either gather all their courage or stay below, the viewing platform is virtually free-standing and offers a clear view down through the bars.

On the 577m high Tromm mountain, the 34m high Tromm Tower offers a magnificent 360 degree view over the Odenwald to the Palatinate. Almost 200 steps lead to the top. The tower has an incline of 54 degrees.

The Irene Tower in Rimbach, built in 1911 as a wooden structure and belonging to the Geozentrum Tromm, is badly damaged. A refurbishment of the dilapidated building, which had to be closed for safety reasons, proved to be economically unsustainable. The community therefore approved a new building - based on designs by Pahl + Weber-Pahl Architects and Bollinger & Grohmann Engineers. In the immediate vicinity of the old tower, a futuristic-looking construction is to be built: a cascade of steel stairs rising obliquely into the air. The flights of stairs of the new viewing platform serve as load-bearing parts, the sloping scaffolding resembles a ladder to heaven. The 33 meter high new tower on the highest point of the Tromm massif allows a distant view over the UNESCO Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald.

The new tower on the Tromm has become a real work of art. The view is excellent, only the ascent over the 192 steps to over 33m is exhausting. The tower is inclined at 54.3 degrees - this makes it a unique landmark in the Odenwald.
