The Tannheimer Valley is a high valley located approximately 1,100 meters above sea level in the Tannheimer Mountains, part of the Allgäu Alps in the Tyrolean district of Reutte. It is a left-bank tributary of the Lech Valley, approximately 20 kilometers long, with a broad valley floor.

Incredibly beautiful, the southern trail around the lake is still covered in ice and snow in early April because it's in the shade. However, you can easily detour via the northern trail next to the main road.
